What is The Orland Method?

The Orland Method is a holistic approach to emotional and mental wellness that blends one-on-one coaching with personalized movement and asana practices. By addressing emotional, cognitive, and physical aspects of healing, it strengthens the mind-body connection.

Each session begins with a guided conversation to explore your challenges, goals, and inner landscape. From there, a customized sequence of asanas, rooted in mindful movement and yogic principles, is created to address concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, or a desire for greater balance and self-awareness. This embodiment promotes relaxation, releases tension, and helps integrate insights from our coaching conversation.

The power of The Orland Method lies in its dual focus: coaching fosters reflection and personal growth, while mindful movement grounds those insights in the body. This deepens clarity, presence, and resilience. You will walk away feeling more centered, empowered, and connected to yourself.

I also offer traditional one-on-one coaching. These 50-minute sessions are solely conversation-based and focused on helping you reach your full potential; it’s about going from good to great.

Meet Hannah Orland


Helping people achieve a sense of fulfillment and live by their values is at the heart of my work. I am a 200-hour certified yoga teacher and I hold a Masters Degree in Counseling from the Chicago School of Psychology. My experience includes working as a mental health therapist in San Francisco with the Liberation Institute, a non-profit community mental health organization, as well as at Genesis Clinical Services in the suburbs of Chicago.

I’m passionate about integrating mindful movement and traditional Western approaches to mental wellness, a blend that led me to create The Orland Method, a practice designed to support deeper balance, awareness, and growth.

Outside of the office/studio, you will find me hiking/moving my body, eating a pastry, pursuing a new creative endeavor, or curled up on the couch with my cat, Aubergine

    Initial Consultation

    30 minute one-on-one session to talk through your current mental, emotional, and physical needs and goals, learn about me and The Orland Method, and determine which path: The Orland Method or traditional wellness coaching is for you.

    75-minute session beginning with a conversation to help explore challenges, set goals, and build supportive habits. After which, we’ll close with a bespoke movement practice such as gentle yoga, breathwork, or mindful stretching that is designed to reflect what came up during the session. You’ll leave with actionable insights, a tailored movement experience, and a clearer path forward on your wellness journey.

    50-minute wellness coaching session offers personalized, one-on-one support designed to help you gain clarity and create sustainable habits that align with your overall goals. We’ll explore your current lifestyle, identify challenges, and develop practical strategies tailored to your physical, mental, and emotional health

Weekly Recorded Yoga Offering *

Each week’s “Weekly Musing” newsletter (fill out the form at the bottom of the home page to subscribe) introduces the theme or topic we’ll be exploring. When you sign up using the button below, you’ll receive that week’s recorded yoga session which combines thoughtful reflection, mindful movement, and grounding meditation.

The recording begins with a 10-minute discussion of the weekly theme, designed to support intentionality and personal reflection. From there, we move into a 30-minute yoga flow that weaves the theme into breath, alignment, and embodied awareness. The practice closes with a calming 5-minute meditation to help you integrate what you’ve experienced and carry it into your day.

Accessible, steady, and uplifting, each session invites you to deepen both your practice and emotional awareness at your own pace. You’ll also keep every recording, allowing you to build your own mindfulness toolbox over time.

Each weekly recording is $20. Please sign up by Tuesday at 9 AM MT to receive that week’s session, which will be delivered via email on Tuesday at 12 PM MT.
